Hello yoga friends! This coming Sunday 12th January at 11:00-12:15, I invite you to join me for the second part of our foundations of yoga series at Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35.
Many people renew their commitment to yoga practice at this time of year, so it is a good time to check in with the fundamentals of breath and movement. This will ensure a strong basis for our practice in the coming year. Like last week, this class will incorporate mobility exercises, basic strength exercises and a deeper dive into alignment and technique for several foundational asana (don’t worry if you missed last week, we will revisit some of the same things :)) If you have a friend who is interested in taking up yoga, this is a great time to invite them along!
This class is suitable for all regardless of yoga experience, we welcome beginners and dedicated practitioners alike (even advanced yogis should check in with the basics ;)). Please bring a yoga mat, and yoga blocks if you have them (if not, we have some for you to use at the space). The class is donation based, via cash or tikkie, and your donation supports the growth of our community. However, we encourage your participation even if donation is not possible for you right now.
Please arrive a few minutes early to set up, so that we can start at 11:00 together. You are welcome in the space anytime from 10:40 to relax in silence, meditate or drink some tea before the class. If you arrive after 11:00 and the front door is locked, you can ring the doorbell or knock on the side door on Agricolastraat and we will let you in 🙏
