Good evening yoga friends! This coming Tuesday 20th May, 19.00-20.30, at Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35, you are invited to join me for a 90 minute Yin Yang yoga class ☯️
Yin Yang is a yoga style where we play with the energies of the sun and the moon. In the first half of the class, we will practice breathwork (pranayama), before moving through a dynamic pose (asana) sequence to build some heat/energy/☀️ in the body. In the second part of the class, we transition to a slow, gentle yin practice. Here we use long pose holds to gently stretch the muscles and connective tissues, while our mind gets a chance to rest and reset 🌑. We will close will a restorative savansana and meditation.
This class is suitable for all, regardless of yoga experience. For this class you need your yoga mat, and if you have them, two yoga blocks (otherwise we have some at the space for you to use). You are welcome to bring extra blankets/pillows for your yin practice if you would like.
Please arrive a few minutes early to set up if possible, so that we can start at 19:00 together. You are welcome in the space anytime from 18:45 to relax in silence, meditate or drink some tea before the class
Our classes are donation based. You may donate via tikkie for with cash at the end of class. Your donations are what keep our community going (e.g. enabling us to pay rent for our space ❤️) and every little helps! If donation is not possible for you right now, please speak to us. Grassroots Yoga is all about making yoga accessible for everyone. You are always welcome to join practice.
