Good morning yoga friends! This Tuesday 18th June 2024 at 19:00 (the date on the flyer is wrong), we will have a hatha-based yoga class at Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35. In this class we will continue our theme from Sunday. We will practice taking inspiration from ocean waves to guide our breath and movement.

This class is suitable for all regardless of yoga experience, we welcome beginners and dedicated practitioners alike. The class is donation based, via cash or tikkie, and your donation supports the continuation of our community. However, we encourage your participation even if donation is not possible for you right now. For this class please bring your yoga mat, and a yoga block or two if you have them. Afterwards you are welcome to stay for a cup of tea.

Yoga class Sunday 16th June, 11:00-12:15 @ Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35

Good morning everyone!

I invite you to join me this Sunday 16th June at 11:00-12:00 at Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35 for a slow flow yoga class.

‘Slow flow’ is a format where we move through a sequence more (surprise) slowly! We spend more time in each asana and slowing down our breath to a meditative rhythm. Longer holds challenge our inner strength and deepen our knowledge of asana. The class is suitable for all levels, adjustments and modifications will be offered where necessary. We will also practice simple pranayama, and enjoy a soundbowl meditation during savasana. After you are welcome to stay for a cup of tea and chat.

For this class you need only your mat and a yoga block (if you have one, if not its no problem, we have blocks for you to use). This class is donation-based, your contribution helps us to keep this community going, and every little helps. If a donation is not possible for you at this time, please let us know and we will accommodate you!

Good afternoon yoga friends! This Tuesday 30th April 2024 starting at 19:00, we will have a hatha-based yoga class at Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35. In this class we will engage and stretch the whole body, and we will pay special attention to utkana konasana (goddess pose). Utkana konasana is a strong asana that fires up the whole lower body, while opening the hips, and can inspire us to feel strong and powerful in our inner world (so that we may better meet the outer world!)

Following from Angelos’ arm balance class last week, this class will focus on balancing on our feet. We will work on the strength and stability needed to find balance, as well as building awareness of how we can use our breath to stay present in balancing asana. This class is suitable for all regardless of yoga experience, we welcome beginners and dedicated practitioners alike. Yoga class Sunday 7th April 11-12:15

Hi friends,

This week Sunday 7th April (and for every Sunday in April) we are happy to offer an extra yoga class. The class starts at 11am at Nieuwe Sint Janstraat 35. We will move through a slow flow sequence that will be active in the beginning with more restful asana in the end. This class is donation based, and you only need to bring your yoga mat. Yoga class Tuesday 26 March, 19:00 @ Nieuwe Sint Janstraat 35

Hi friends,

This week’s class will focus on building a healthy spine. We will explore how to create more mobility in the spine, how to build strength in the back muscles to support this mobility, and finally we will practice some back-bending asana (dharunasana and urdhva dharunasana) to experience the joy that a healthy spine can bring us!’

This class is for all people regardless of experience (we can always adapt asana to suit where your body is at right now). Please bring your yoga mat and, if you’d like, some cosy clothes and blankets for your comfort during savasana. At the end of the session, Angelos will lead us through a 15 minute guided meditation to enhance our awareness and compassion.

Info: The class is donation-based. We have come with a donation scheme so you may select the level of your contribution with ease.

Yoga class Tuesday 20th Feb, 19:00, Nieuwe Sint Janstraat 35

Hello yogi friends 🙏 our class this week is on Tuesday 20th Feb, at 19:00 at Nieuwe Sint Janstraat 35. We will continue our hip work. Last week focused on flexibility and mobility, this week we will practice finding strength and balance in the hips, building towards Ardha Chandrasana (half moon pose).
