I am excited to be teaching as part of this beautiful International Day of Yoga celebration in Groningen!
The event is organized by HolisticYogaNL in collaboration with the Embassy of India in The Hague, the Groningen Indian Students Association (GISA), and supported by the Municipality of Groningen.
Whether you are completely new to yoga or have been practicing for years, this is an open, welcoming space to stretch, breathe, and reconnect.

Dear friends,

Join us for a Hatha yoga class on Tuesday, 10 June, 19:00-20:15. This session will focus on asanas and exercises that build strength in the glutes, legs, and abdominals. We will incorporate dynamic movements and holds to activate these key muscle groups while maintaining mindful alignment. Expect a mix of standing poses, core engagement techniques, and stabilizing postures to enhance both power and endurance.

Towards the end of the session, we will work on Sirsasana (Headstand), refining stability, strength, and balance. Whether you are new to headstand or deepening your practice, there will be guidance and variations for all levels.
This yoga class welcomes participants of all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Whether you are just starting your yoga journey or have a seasoned practice, you will find the class inclusive and suitable for your experience level. To join the class, just bring a yoga mat and wear something comfy that lets you move freely. Also, bring a towel to put on the bolster—it helps keep things nice and clean for everyone.

I am excited to invite you to a Hatha Yoga class on Sunday, 6 April, 12:00-13:30 in Stadspark (we will meet near the lake by the restaurant and walk together to a spot we choose). This outdoor class will be a chance to move, breathe, and connect with nature. As we flow through our practice, we will root ourselves like the trees, let our breath move like the wind, and open our hearts to the warmth of the sun. 🌳☀️

With each movement, we will tune into the earth beneath us, feeling its steady support. The rustling leaves and birdsong will guide us deeper into the present moment, reminding us to simply be. Through mindful breathwork and a balance of dynamic and grounding postures, we will cultivate both strength and stillness, allowing the body to soften and the mind to settle. We will close with a peaceful meditation under the open sky, fostering a deep sense of connection and calm.

Whether you are new to yoga or a dedicated practitioner, this class is for you. Please bring a yoga mat (or something to sit on if you prefer), comfortable clothing, and an open heart.

🥗 After the class, let’s stay for a picnic and enjoy some good company, fresh air, and nourishing food! Bring your own healthy snacks or lunch, and let’s take the time to relax, chat, and soak in the natural surroundings together.
