Join me this Sunday 13th July from 12:00-13.15 for a slow flow yoga class on the grass at Nieuwe Kerkhof (a beautiful church garden just outside the city center, where Grassroots Yoga was born!)

We will meet under the trees on the right side of the church if you are facing it from Nieuwe Boteringestraat (I will post a map location closer to the time).

This week we will practice in a slow flow style with breathwork (pranayama), meditation and a mindful movement exploration focusing on loosening up and building strength in the shoulders.

This class is suitable for all regardless of yoga experience, we welcome beginners and dedicated practitioners alike. The class is donation based, via cash or tikkie, and your donation is what allows Grassroots to keep going ❀️ every little helps! However, we encourage your participation even if donation is not possible for you right now.

This class will be relaxed and dynamic, focusing on connecting breath to movement in a fully body movement practice. We will begin with a meditation and energizing breathwork (pranayama), and close with a long savasana. The class is suitable for all regardless of yoga experience. We welcome beginners and dedicated practitioners alike. Please bring a yoga mat, and wear comfy clothes that you can move in.

The class is donation based, via cash or tikkie. We appreciate any donation, large or small, and the money goes towards paying rent for our beautiful yoga space πŸ™ However, we encourage your participation even if donation is not possible for you right now.

Join me this Tuesday 1st July from 19.00-20.15 for a hatha-based yoga class on the grass at Nieuwe Kerkhof (a beautiful church garden just outside the city center, where Grassroots Yoga was born!)

This week we will practice in a Hatha style with pranayama, meditation and a mindful movement exploration focusing on the root chakra and the lower body. We will practice grounding and finding strength through our root, and give a lot of love to the feet and hips πŸ™‚

Good evening yoga friends! This coming Tuesday 20th May, 19.00-20.30, at Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35, you are invited to join me for a 90 minute Yin Yang yoga class ☯️

Yin Yang is a yoga style where we play with the energies of the sun and the moon. In the first half of the class, we will practice breathwork (pranayama), before moving through a dynamic pose (asana) sequence to build some heat/energy/β˜€οΈ in the body. In the second part of the class, we transition to a slow, gentle yin practice. Here we use long pose holds to gently stretch the muscles and connective tissues, while our mind gets a chance to rest and reset πŸŒ‘. We will close will a restorative savansana and meditation.

This class is suitable for all, regardless of yoga experience. For this class you need your yoga mat, and if you have them, two yoga blocks (otherwise we have some at the space for you to use). You are welcome to bring extra blankets/pillows for your yin practice if you would like.

Good afternoon yoga friends! Join me this Sunday 18th May from 11.00-12.30 for an all-levels yoga class at Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35.

In this class we will practice in a ‘slow flow’ style – this means we will link together poses and flow through them with the breath, but at a slower pace than in a traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa class. The theme of our class will be ‘root & rhythm’ – building stability and integrity in the lower body to create a foundation for flow and freedom in the upper body πŸ™‚

This class is suitable for all regardless of yoga experience, we welcome beginners and dedicated practitioners alike. Good morning yoga friends! This coming Sunday 16th March, from 11.00-12.30, at Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35, you are invited to join me for a juicy 90 minute Yin Yang yoga class πŸŒ•β˜€οΈ

Yin Yang is a yoga style where we play with the energies of the sun and the moon (full moon on Friday ;)). In the first half of the class, we will practice warming pranayama and move through a dynamic asana sequence to build some heat/energy/Yang in the body. In the second part of the class, we practice Yin postures. In Yin, we invite our bodies to fully rest by consciously releasing our muscles using our breath, while gravity gently stretches us.
We close our practice with a long savasana (corpse pose) to allow our yin/yang energies to integrate 🌝🌚

This class is suitable for all, regardless of yoga experience, and I invite you to bring friends if you would like. Tea will be available 🍡 for this class you need your yoga mat, and if you have them, two yoga blocks (otherwise we have some at the space for you to use). You are welcome to bring extra blankets/pillows for your yin practice if you would like.
