Dear all,

I kindly invite you to join us for a flow style Hatha yoga class this coming Tuesday.

Starting relaxed on our backs we will stretch the backs of our legs and warm up the core. I want to pay some special attention to chaturanga before we will start with our flow, which we will repeat a few of times, starting slow holding poses for a few breaths but by the end moving faster through it.
The flow will focus on some side stretches and side plank variations, again starting easy but building to something stronger for those who are up for it.

This yoga class welcomes participants of all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Whether you are just starting your yoga journey or have a seasoned practice, you will find the class inclusive and suitable for your experience level. To join the class, make sure to bring a yoga mat and wear clothing that allows free movement.

Please come 5 minutes early so you can set your mat and settle in before we begin.

Yoga class Tuesday 27th Jan, 19:00-20:00 @buurtcentrum de Wende

Dear all 🙏🏻

For this coming Tuesday I’m excited to teach a class at Grassroots Yoga for the first time! This will be at Buurtcentrum De Wende (Goudlaan 555, 9743CP) on Tuesday 27 January, 19:00-20:00

I hope by then the roads will be free of ice but please be careful and stay safe if they aren’t!

In these cold winter days we will be building a bit of heat during class, and as someone suggested last week I took some inspiration from the ashtanga primary series. This means; get ready for some vinyasa’s!😉

If you don’t know what that is or if it sounds challenging to you no need to worry I will explain during class and we will do this in a way that is accessible even if you have little to no yoga experience.
We will also start with a short meditation and gentle warm up where we will go through some basics about hand placement in the mat and tilting the pelvis.

You can expect an approachable little taste of what an ashtanga class is like!

Through long-held postures and mindful breathing, we will create space in the body while cultivating inner stillness and calm.

Yin Yoga is the perfect practice to slow down, deepen your breath, and release tension. It is suitable for all levels, so whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, you will find this class nourishing and restorative. Join us for a Hatha yoga class on Tuesday, 30 September, 19:00-20:15. We will focus on asanas and exercises that stretch the hamstrings and glutes. We will also practice balancing poses, supporting each other, and perhaps experiment with chanting ‘Om’ while balancing, creating a serene ‘forest of trees’ effect. Towards the end of the session, we will build up to Sirsasana (Headstand)—working with stability, strength, and balance. Whether you are trying headstand for the first time or refining your practice, there will be guidance and variations for all levels.
